In the summer of 2022, a dispute in a Southeast Memphis neighborhood escalated to gunfire, ending the life of 44-year-old Dwight Keith Pritchard. A Black man, Pritchard was found lying in the grass outside a residence on Apple Blossom Drive in the early morning hours of July 14th. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds and, despite being rushed to the hospital, succumbed to his injuries.
