In the winter of 2020, the life of 43-year-old Leslie Dawn Belt was tragically cut short in Johnson City, Tennessee. A white female known for her kind heart and deep love for her family, Leslie was fatally shot on December 15, 2020. The incident occurred at a residence on Ford Creek Road in Washington County.
Authorities quickly identified 47-year-old Ralph Eugene Davenport of Gray, Tennessee, as the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of first-degree murder. Davenport, who was described as armed and dangerous, had a significant criminal history, including a 1993 conviction for voluntary manslaughter and was on federal supervised release at the time of the shooting. He fled the scene before law enforcement arrived, prompting a manhunt. Davenport was last seen driving a white 2001 Ford van.
