Barbara Lee Barnette, an 82-year-old woman from Johnson City, Tennessee, tragically passed away on December 15, 2019. The Carter County Sheriff’s Office investigated her death and determined it was a murder-suicide. Barbara's son, Brian Scott Barnette, 52, shot and killed her before taking his own life.
