In the late hours of a Thursday in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 43-year-old Dean Lesile Kwatelai-Quartey was tragically cut short. On January 28, 2021, Kwatelai-Quartey was fatally shot in a parking lot at 300 McCann Street, just south of the city's downtown area. The incident unfolded near the intersection of 3rd Avenue South and McCann Street, where an encounter with a man named Rojelio Rivera turned deadly. For reasons that remain unknown, Rivera reportedly shot Kwatelai-Quartey.
