On a summer evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 31-year-old Brittney L. Bannister was tragically cut short. On June 6, 2021, officers responded to reports of gunshots and discovered Bannister's body in an alley behind a residence on Green Street around 6:15 p.m. She had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. At the time she was found, Bannister had no identification or personal belongings on her. However, she was recognized by officers who were familiar with her.
