In the winter of 2017, a young mother's life was tragically cut short in Kansas City. Dinora Ojeda, a 24-year-old woman, was discovered fatally shot inside a van on the evening of December 22nd. The vehicle was located at 45th Street and Spruce Avenue, where the grim discovery was made around 7:30 p.m.
This devastating event was not the first tragedy to strike the family that year. Just months prior, in February, Ojeda's boyfriend and the father of her children, Michael C.
Day, had also been shot and killed. The couple left behind a young daughter and son, who were just two and one years old, respectively, at the time of their mother's death.
The case of Dinora Ojeda's death is considered an unsolved homicide. Law enforcement has sought information from the public regarding the shooting, but as of available reports, no arrests have been made and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with her murder.
