Gwendolyn Kizine, a 15-year-old African American girl, tragically lost her life on January 23, 1980, in Kansas City, Missouri. Her body was discovered behind a building on The Paseo by a neighbor heading to work. She was found with wire wrapped around her neck and wrists, clothed but without shoes.
