In the early hours of July 9, 2021, the life of 19-year-old Carell Robinson III was tragically cut short in a burst of gunfire. The young man from Memphis, Tennessee, was at a Cook Out restaurant in the midtown area of the city, caught in the midst of a violent altercation that unfolded in the drive-thru lane just after 1:00 a.m. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots exchanged between two vehicles, a chaotic scene that ended with Robinson suffering a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
