Thomas Bonner, a 43-year-old man from Memphis, TN, was tragically shot and killed on October 8, 2022. Bonner was standing at a bus stop on Union Avenue when he got into a verbal altercation with Bobby Chism, who used a racial slur. Witnesses reported that Chism exited a silver Honda and shot Bonner multiple times before fleeing the scene. Bonner was pronounced dead at the scene.
