In the autumn of 2014, a gathering of friends in Memphis, Tennessee, turned into a scene of tragedy and loss. On the evening of October 4th, Alvaro Casillas Becerra, a Hispanic male, was with a group of twelve other men when they were targeted in a violent attempted armed robbery. The encounter left two men dead and two others wounded, shattering the lives of their families and sending shockwaves through the community.
