In the spring of 2014, a life was tragically cut short in Memphis, Tennessee. Lamarcus Odom, a 17-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on Easter Sunday, April 20th. The teenager was discovered in a stairway at the Pershing Park Apartments located in the Frayser neighborhood. His untimely death brought sorrow to his family and the wider community, highlighting the persistent issue of gun violence.
