Edward Melton, a 37-year-old man from Chattanooga, Tennessee, tragically lost his life on August 3, 2021. He was shot in the early hours of the morning in the 700 block of West Main Street. Witnesses reported that a man approached Melton and shot him multiple times before fleeing the scene. Melton was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
