Johnny L. Sanders, a 40-year-old African American male, tragically died on May 8, 2016, in Chattanooga, TN. He was working as a bouncer at the Bella Vita Restaurant on Cowart Street when a fight broke out inside the establishment. Sanders removed a patron involved in the altercation from the restaurant, and as they were outside, the patron shot Sanders once, causing a fatal injury. Despite immediate medical attention and transportation to a local hospital, Sanders succumbed to his injuries.
