In a tragic act of violence on May 1, 2024, DeAaron DeAndtra Triplett, a 21-year-old male, was killed in a shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The incident, which also claimed the life of his 19-year-old brother, De'Jyron De'Vonte Triplett, unfolded at an apartment complex located at 1101 Arlington Avenue. The brothers were reportedly the victims of an ambush-style attack.
The investigation into the double homicide led by the Chattanooga Police Department's Homicide Unit resulted in the
arrest of multiple suspects. On June 11, 2024, authorities apprehended 20-year-old Jamarie Jones and 32-year-old Darrisha Danforth. Jones was charged with first-degree murder, aggravated burglary, and multiple firearms violations. Danforth was charged as an accessory after the fact. Surveillance footage reportedly captured a masked individual, identified as Jones, entering a breezeway at the apartment complex and firing in the direction of the victims before fleeing in a vehicle allegedly driven by Danforth.
