In the late spring of 2023, the life of Broderick Tremice Lay, a 36-year-old Black male from Chattanooga, Tennessee, was cut short. On May 26, just days before his 37th birthday, Lay died from what has been reported as gun violence. Born on May 31, 1986, to Harold Jr. and Ella Lay, he was a man known for his sense of humor and his love for football and dancing.
