On August 20, 2021, Emmanuel Tyson, a 32-year-old man from Clarksville, TN, was fatally shot in the area of 9th and Shearor streets. Police responded to a shooting in progress around 11 p.m. and found Tyson and another man with gunshot wounds. Both victims were taken to Tennova Hospital, where Tyson was later pronounced dead.
Clarksville Police Department's investigation led to the arrest of two 16-year-old suspects, Damarrian Kelly and Vontrell Hairston, who were charged with homicide. T
