On May 6, 2022, Dominique Pirtle, a 17-year-old from Nashville, TN, tragically lost his life due to a fatal shooting in West Nashville. Dominique was at the intersection of Elizabeth Jordan Street and Indiana Avenue, where he exited his vehicle to assist friends with a flat tire. Surveillance footage captured the incident, showing 15-year-old Lavell Newsome shooting Dominique multiple times. Dominique was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
