In the early morning hours of a Sunday in Knoxville, Tennessee, the life of Cedric Isom, a 29-year-old African American man, was tragically cut short. On August 14, 2022, gunshots shattered the peace in the parking lot of Bebo's Cafe on Gleason Drive. When Knoxville Police Department officers arrived at the scene around 1:50 a.m., they discovered two men who had been shot. One of them was Cedric Isom, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
