On the evening of April 3, 2016, a heated argument at the Lakeview Motel on Chapman Highway in South Knoxville, Tennessee, tragically cut short the life of 33-year-old Purnell Nimmons, a Black male. The verbal altercation, which involved a 29-year-old nurse named Danielle Wright, escalated into a physical confrontation.
