Purnell Nimmons, a 33-year-old man from Knoxville, TN, was tragically shot and killed on April 3, 2016. The incident occurred at the Lakeview Motel on Chapman Highway in South Knoxville. Nimmons was involved in a heated argument with Danielle Wright, a 29-year-old nurse, which escalated into a physical confrontation. Wright initially left the motel but returned a few minutes later, armed with a handgun. She shot Nimmons in the back as he attempted to flee the scene.
