Dorothy Lyons, a 29-year-old woman from Wilkes-Barre, PA, tragically lost her life on September 25, 1982. She was one of the victims in a horrific mass shooting carried out by George Banks, a former prison guard. Banks went on a killing spree, claiming the lives of 13 people, including seven children, four of whom were his own. Dorothy Lyons and her 11-year-old daughter, Nancy, were among those killed at Banks' home on Schoolhouse Lane in Wilkes-Barre.
