Officer Carl Harold Whippo, aged 63, was tragically shot and killed on January 17, 1984, inside the Johnsonburg Borough Police Department in Pennsylvania. Officer Whippo was speaking with another officer and a borough councilman when a 22-year-old man entered the station and opened fire with a 12-gauge shotgun, striking Officer Whippo.
