Frederick Peter Dukes, a 45-year-old male police officer with the Philadelphia Police Department, tragically lost his life on December 24, 1990. Officer Dukes, who was a U.S. Army veteran, had served with the Philadelphia Police Department for five years and was assigned to the Highway Patrol Division.

On the day of his death, Officer Dukes was off duty and intervened in a robbery at an establishment. He confronted one of the suspects, but was shot by a second suspect with a shotgun. The ...
