Charles Thomas Knox Jr., a 31-year-old male police officer of the Philadelphia Police Department, tragically lost his life on August 30, 1992. Officer Knox was shot and killed during a robbery in progress at a Roy Rogers restaurant located at 1401 Snyder Avenue. When Officer Knox entered the restaurant, he encountered a suspect holding a gun to the manager's head. He ordered the suspect to drop the weapon, but instead, the suspect lunged at him.
