Steven Michael Knapp, a 23-year-old male, died on August 4, 1995, after a shooting in Chester, Pennsylvania. The case unfolded late on a summer night, with police finding him in the 2900 block of West Third Street, lying on the sidewalk and bleeding from what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, but he was pronounced dead at 11:40 p.m. The shooting was later described as a homicide and a gun violence death.
