Thao Q. Tony Pham, a 27-year-old Vietnamese man, tragically lost his life on April 28, 2000, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pham was one of five victims killed by Richard Scott Baumhammers during a shooting spree that spanned across two counties. Baumhammers, a 36-year-old resident of Mt. Lebanon, was later arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder, including the deaths of Pham and the other victims.
The incident began when Baumhammers opened fire at the Ya Fei Chinese Cuisine
Restaurant in Robinson, where Pham was present. After killing Pham and another victim, Baumhammers continued his rampage, targeting additional locations and ultimately claiming the lives of three more individuals before being apprehended by law enforcement.
