On the morning of Friday, June 17, 2022, the Knoxville neighborhood of Pittsburgh was shaken by an act of violence that claimed the life of Alec Gary Wilbur. A 31-year-old Black male, Wilbur was found shot to death on McKinley Street. The events unfolded around 7:20 a.m. when police were dispatched to the 200 block of the street after receiving a shot-fired alert.
