Ji-ye Jerry Sun, a 34-year-old male of Chinese ethnicity, tragically lost his life on April 28, 2000, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His death was part of a racially motivated killing spree carried out by Richard Scott Baumhammers, who was later sentenced to death for his crimes. On that fateful day, Baumhammers targeted multiple individuals across different locations, resulting in the deaths of five people, including Sun.
