Darrell James Dickerson Jr., an 18-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on October 3, 2001, in Erie, Pennsylvania. His death was the result of a botched robbery attempt. During the incident, Dickerson was shot by Mack D'Juan Hill, who was 17 years old at the time. Hill, along with a small group of men, had devised a scheme to rob Dickerson.
