On July 6, 2012, James Andre Lane-Sims, a 20-year-old African American male from McKeesport, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot while sitting in his black 2012 Dodge Charger at the intersection of Pirl Street and Versailles Avenue. He was struck multiple times, including once in the head, and succumbed to his injuries five days later when his family made the decision to remove him from life support.
James was a 2010 graduate of McKeesport Area High School and was employed as a cook at Taco B
