Verlondon Jamal Gray, a 32-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically lost his life on June 27, 2014, in Chester, Pennsylvania. Gray was fatally shot in a hail of gunfire outside the Platinum Harambee Cafe shortly before midnight. The incident occurred in the 1100 block of West Seventh Street, where Gray collapsed on the street between a car and the sidewalk. He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
