Lanair T. Roberts Jr., a 19-year-old African American male from Pittsburgh, PA, tragically lost his life on September 11, 2014. His death was part of a particularly violent year in Allegheny County, which saw a total of 105 homicides, the highest in five years. Out of these, 88 victims were Black, and 81 were Black men.
