In the early hours of a Saturday in January 2021, the life of 32-year-old Robert Agurs, an African American man from Pittsburgh, was tragically cut short in a hail of gunfire. The fatal encounter took place outside a Marathon gas station in the city's Larimer neighborhood, but the events that led to this violent end began earlier that evening. Agurs had been at a club in the Homewood section of Pittsburgh, where, unbeknownst to him, he was being watched.
