Death by Force

In the early hours of September 1, 2024, Pittsburgh police responded to multiple ShotSpotter alerts indicating gunfire in the 8000 block of Bennett Street in the East Hills neighborhood. The alerts, totaling 28 rounds, prompted officers to arrive at the scene around 4:30 a.m., where they discovered 23-year-old Andre D. Faucette II with two gunshot wounds to the head. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead.
