On May 9, 2015, Todd A. Dunlap Jr., a 31-year-old man from Harrisburg, PA, was tragically shot and killed outside of an after-hours nightclub on South 19th Street. Dunlap, who was working as a bouncer at the club, was involved in a verbal altercation with John Maurice McDonald III, a 22-year-old man. The argument escalated when McDonald became angry after Dunlap allegedly called a woman McDonald was with a derogatory name. McDonald then struck Dunlap over the head with a firearm before shooting
