In the late summer of 2015, the city of York, Pennsylvania, was struck by a wave of violence that culminated in the tragic death of 23-year-old Andrew Jackson. On the evening of September 1st, police were dispatched to the 300 block of East Cottage Place following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival at approximately 7:55 p.m., they discovered Jackson in a hallway at 342 East Cottage Place, suffering from a fatal bullet wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
