In the early hours of March 30, 2022, the life of 48-year-old John Baker of East Berlin, Adams County, was tragically cut short in a back alley in York, Pennsylvania. Responding to a call around 12:45 a.m., police discovered Baker's body in the 700 block of West Philadelphia Street, where he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The York County Coroner's Office later confirmed that his death was a homicide.
