In the early morning hours of October 3, 2015, the life of 17-year-old Jason Omar Daniels Jr., an African American male, was tragically cut short in a targeted shooting in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. A 12th-grade student at the McKeesport East End Academy Charter School, Daniels had a passion for basketball, music, and writing lyrics. On that fateful night, he was at a friend's house on Idaho Street with his 15-year-old girlfriend.
