On a Tuesday evening in Philadelphia, the life of a 19-year-old Black male named Dominick Waugh, also known as 'Junie,' was tragically cut short. On December 15, 2015, at approximately 5:18 p.m., police responded to a call on the 5700 block of Warrington Avenue. There, they found Dominick lying on the sidewalk, having sustained gunshot wounds to his back and abdomen.
Officers rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was admitted in critical condition.
Despite the efforts of medical personnel, Dominick succumbed to his injuries the following morning, December 16, 2015. Investigations into the incident revealed that he had been shot during the course of a robbery.
Dominick resided on the 5600 block of Warrington Avenue, not far from where he was found. In the years since his death, no arrests have been made in connection with his murder. The case remains unsolved, and the Philadelphia Police Department continues to seek information from the public that could lead to the identification and apprehension of the individual or individuals responsible. A $20,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
