In the summer of 2022, a visit to his ailing mother in North Philadelphia would be the final act of kindness for 40-year-old Jessie Bridges. On the evening of June 12th, the male resident of Philadelphia was fatally wounded in a shooting. The incident occurred as he was getting into a vehicle, a sudden and violent end to what was a compassionate visit.
