Ahmeen Meeno Brown Clanton, a 30-year-old male from Lancaster, PA, was tragically shot and killed on January 28, 2016. Clanton was involved in an argument with two unidentified men moments before he was shot near Shippen Street and Howard Avenue. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation led to the arrest of Kendell Charles Foster, a 25-year-old Lancaster man. Foster was charged with criminal homicide and later pleaded guilty to third-degree murder. He was sentenced to 25 to 50 years in prison as part of a plea deal. Foster admitted to shooting Clanton once in the head with a .357-caliber handgun, which was later recovered from a home where Foster was staying.

The case highlighted the ongoing issue of gun violence in Lancaster city, and Assistant District Attorney Christine Wilson emphasized the impact of such incidents on the community. Foster's prior criminal record, including a robbery conviction, added to the severity of his sentence.

This tragic event and the subsequent legal proceedings underscore the devastating consequences of gun violence and the importance of community efforts to address and prevent such incidents.
