On a Sunday morning in May of 2016, a 41-year-old African American man named Darshele Johnson was fatally shot in the Penn Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on May 15th. Johnson, an Oakmont resident, had just arrived and exited his vehicle on Graham Boulevard Extension near Verona Road when he was struck by multiple gunshots.
First responders found Johnson outside of his car and transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced
dead a short time later. According to law enforcement, Johnson did not reside at the address where the shooting took place. Authorities reported that a white 2004 Cadillac SLS with Pennsylvania license plate JSJ 9586 was seen leaving the area shortly after the gunshots were heard.
As of the latest available information, no arrests have been publicly announced in connection with the killing of Darshele Johnson. The investigation into his death remains open, and police have previously asked for anyone with information regarding the shooting or the white Cadillac to come forward.
