On a Sunday morning in May of 2016, a 41-year-old African American man named Darshele Johnson was fatally shot in the Penn Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The incident occurred around 8 a.m. on May 15th. Johnson, an Oakmont resident, had just arrived and exited his vehicle on Graham Boulevard Extension near Verona Road when he was struck by multiple gunshots.
