Samuel A. Keezer, a 16-year-old from Burnsville, Minnesota, tragically passed away on February 29, 2020. Samuel, affectionately known as Sam, was remembered for his kind heart and beautiful soul. He had a smile and laugh that could light up a room. Sam was deeply loved by his family and friends, and he enjoyed spending time with them, as well as his girlfriend. He was independent, confident, funny, and fearless, with a passion for music, gaming, basketball, and traveling to warm places.
On February 28, 2020, Sam was shot in the head in the parking lot of a Target store on Highway 13 in Savage, Minnesota. He succumbed to his injuries two days later at Hennepin County Medical Center. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed his death on March 4, 2020.
In connection with Sam's death, three individuals from Prior Lake were arrested. The suspects included a 44-year-old man, a 43-year-old woman, and their 16-year-old son. The man was held on suspicion of second-degree murder with intent, while the son faced the same allegation. The woman was suspected of aiding an offender in second-degree murder after the fact. The arrests were made near their home on Sue Ann Lane. As of the latest reports, charges had yet to be filed, and the authorities had not disclosed a possible motive for the shooting.
