On a quiet Sunday, the first of October in 2023, the community of Savage, Minnesota, was disturbed by an incident that would leave a family grieving and a neighborhood in search of answers. In a residential area on the 14900 block of Oakcrest Circle, 36-year-old Anthony G. Koonjbeharry was found, having sustained at least one gunshot wound. Emergency services responded to a report of gunfire shortly before 3 a.m., but tragically, Koonjbeharry was pronounced dead at the scene.
