In the summer of 2016, what appeared to be a picturesque family life in Sinking Spring, a suburb of Reading, Pennsylvania, was shattered by a tragic and violent event. On August 6, 33-year-old Megan Lynn Swingle Short, a female described as a caring and devoted mother, was found deceased in her home. Her life, along with those of her three young children, was cut short in a devastating act of violence.
