Iziah Ramon Lewis, a 19-year-old male of Sellersville, PA, was tragically shot and killed on October 29, 2016, in Kulp Memorial Park, Perkasie, PA. Lewis, a former Pennridge High School football player, was found dead around 12:30 a.m. after a disturbance was reported at the park. He was pronounced dead at Sellersville Hospital.
The incident occurred following a botched drug deal. Lewis was lured to the park under the pretense of a drug transaction.
Three teenagers, Harrison Moss , Noah Strickland , and Christopher Pavack , all from the Perkasie area, were involved in the incident. They planned to rob Lewis but the situation escalated when Moss shot Lewis in the chest from about 10 to 15 yards away. Strickland fled the scene on foot, while Pavack fired a shot in the air.
The three teenagers were charged as adults with criminal homicide, robbery, conspiracy, and possession of a weapon. They were remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility without bail. A fourth teenager, Carson Kimnach , who acted as the driver, was also arrested and charged with felony criminal homicide, criminal conspiracy, robbery, and firearm possession.
The case drew significant attention and led to a preliminary hearing scheduled for November 7, 2016. The community and Lewis's friends and teammates mourned his loss, sharing memories and condolences on social media using the hashtag #RIPZay.
