On May 1, 2010, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Donald Lamar Robinson, a 30-year-old Black male, was fatally wounded outside a Coney Island restaurant on the 6200 block of Livernois in Detroit, Michigan. Robinson had just exited his friend's vehicle when he was approached by an unknown Black male armed with a handgun. The suspect ordered Robinson to get on the ground and empty his pockets.
