In the late hours of a spring evening in Philadelphia, tragedy struck a North Philadelphia neighborhood, forever altering the lives of several families. On May 31, 2017, a burst of gunfire shattered the night on the 1300 block of West Rush Street. When the chaos subsided, three men were found lying on the ground, all suffering from gunshot wounds. Among them was 17-year-old Irrel Williams, a Black male from the city.
