On July 29, 2017, Stephon Jeffrey, a 22-year-old African-American male from McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania, was fatally shot at the Uansa Village housing complex. Police were called to the scene just before 6:30 p.m. and found Jeffrey suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses reported seeing a young African-American male fleeing the scene.
