In the city of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a 24-year-old Caucasian woman named Natasha Harner was found deceased on November 9, 2017. Her life, full of promise, was tragically cut short inside her residence on Logan Street. Alongside her was her 16-year-old stepsister, Kaliah Dearing; both had suffered fatal gunshot wounds. The initial call to authorities was for a medical emergency, but the grim reality of a double homicide was soon discovered upon their arrival.
The investigation into
the sisters' deaths moved swiftly, and within a week, on November 16, 2017, an arrest was made. Jeremiah Battle, a 23-year-old man, was taken into custody and charged with two counts of first-degree murder, burglary, and tampering with evidence. The community, shocked by the brutal crime, held a vigil to honor the memories of Natasha and Kaliah, grappling with the senseless loss of two young lives.
