Donna Louise Warren, a 51-year-old African American woman from Harrisburg, PA, tragically lost her life on May 25, 2018. Donna was a former employee of the YMCA in Philadelphia and the US Postal Service in Greensboro, NC.
She had been living with schizophrenia, which limited her social interactions, but those who knew her considered her a true friend.
On the day of her death, Donna was walking to a gas station near North 7th and Maclay streets when she was caught in a crossfire. Police believe that the gunfire was intended for someone else, and Donna was an innocent bystander. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she did not survive her injuries. The Harrisburg Police Department has been investigating the case as a cold case homicide, but so far, no suspects have been identified, and the investigation remains open.
